Lumière began with a quiet frustration. After years in conventional practices, Dr. Amara Vance kept meeting patients who apologised for being nervous, as if a fear of the dentist were a personal failing rather than a design problem. In 2011 she opened the doors on Marigold Lane to fix the design.
The result is a boutique studio in Pacific Heights that feels closer to a retreat than a surgery: soft light, warm tones, herbal tea and appointments paced entirely around you. Dentistry here is calm, feminine and unhurried, clinically exacting but never cold.
Today a small team of women carries that same intention into every visit, from a gentle clean to a complete smile redesign. The tools are modern; the feeling is unmistakably human.
